Being right next door to Japan, it is no wonder that G-SHOCK is enormously popular in this country too. On the day of G-SHOCK'S SHOCK THE WORLD TOUR event, members of the media and artists jostled together with ordinary visitors. However, everyone was uniformly looking around the site with bated breath. There was a reason, of course. Everything inside Club Eden had been completely decorated with G-SHOCK stickers and tapestries. There was a corner introducing G-SHOCK technology, a section displaying new models, and even a corner introducing collaboration watches designed by leading Korean artists. It was like a G-SHOCK museum, and event-goers couldn't conceal their amazement.
Then, the opening press conference started. Everyone turned their attention towards the stage. Peak, president of G-Cosmo (which handles the G-SHOCK brand in Korea), spoke first, revealing all of the G-SHOCK functions that had been unlocked by the development crew. Then, G-Cosmo board member, Jo, introduced new models. There was also a talk show featuring artist and watch collaborator E Ji Ah (Lee Ji-ah) along with Fhifan, Kang KO, and Mag&Logan. Being such an item of focus, everyone listened, trying to find the secret to the remarkable G-SHOCK's popularity.
Part-two featured live performances by Korean idol groups MBLAQ and Brown Eyed Girls, which caused the house to erupt. These were immediately followed by part-three, a party DJ'd by the artist Fhifan, who's also done a collaboration watch with G-SHOCK. Everyone was happy with the multi-faceted event. The party continued past midnight without anyone heading for the exit; they were no doubt having the time of their lives.
