The party was
held on October
13th at The
Musee de
l'Homme ("Museum of Man") with a long line of people from the media forming at the entrance. The event opened with an original video produced by the world-class creative team, LOGAN. The video (http://world.g-shock.com/intl/stw/culture/art_logan/), which was made using high-speed phantom cameras, perfectly captured G-SHOCK's toughness and culture. It was flawlessly executed and kept the audience breathless while heightening expectations for the party that was about to begin.
The conference began with enormously popular French television host Pauline Lefevre taking the stage and introducing the "Father of G-SHOCK", Kikuo Ibe, who was greeted by a storm of applause. Pauline Lefevre put on a seemingly over-the-top performance that included her stomping and throwing G-SHOCKs. Not to be outdone, Mr. Ibe had the audience applauding G-SHOCK's greatness as he eloquently recounted the secret story behind the watch's development. Various attractions were then held in each of the Musee de l'Homme's separate areas. As you can see by the photos, the event included the polished sounds of famous DJs and dance performances. Top-class skaters were also on hand to demonstrate their skills, with each performer giving expression to G-SHOCK's world view in their own way. Also spotted amongst the event-goers was the actor Vincent Desagnat, who posed for photos with the G-SHOCK MAN character.
Paris - La Cite' de Fleur Paris ("The Floral City of Paris"). Everyone had a complete blast doing their part to raise the level of this one-night-only special event into the realm of art, as you might expect from a city that is so rich in art.
