The 5th Beach Sound Pro competition, which is the 2nd shortboard event of the 2009 Japan Pro Surfing Tour, was held from Thursday, May 21st to Sunday, May 24th in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture.
Six pros from the G-SHOCK SURF TEAM competed, but unfortunately none of them placed among the top finishers this time. We're keeping our fingers crossed for the tour's 3rd event, which will take place in September in Oarai, Ibaraki Prefecture.

The 2009 Japan Pro Surfing Tour has finally started. The Garuda Travel Scene Pro competition, which is the 1st shortboard event of the 2009 season, took place from Wednesday, April 8th to Sunday, April 12th in Bali, Indonesia.
TEAM G-SHOCK pro-surfers Ushikoshi, Yoshioka, Nick, Harada, Mori, and Matsuoka competed. Mori and Yoshioka each advanced to the semi-final round. Mori finished 7th and Yoshioka finished 8th.
