Presently in 2009, there is a hybrid street culture that continues to be born. One of the ways in which I learned to recognize this underground movement is born from my initial discover of hip hop and skateboarding in the 1990s new york.. The works being represented in this exhibition is an accumulated archive of images from two individual perspectives in the forefront of new york`s hybrid movements captured by Pai and Yuri. The photographs have the feeling of a moment that is suspended in time and also feels that it is a harbinger of what is to be expected in the future.

Miyuki Pai Hirai
Graduated Kyoto College Of Art,Video&Film Media. Move to New York in 1997.Start as a freelance photographer after graduated International Center Of Photography(ICP),General studies.She moved back to japan in 2001 and she got a number of exhibition in Tokyo, New York, San Francisco and Paris. She is publishing zines from her own label called onenationpublishings.

Yuri Shibuya
Graduated Musashino University Of Art And Design,Space Production.She is taking photo through traveling numbers of countries. When she visit New York, she involved skateboarding scene and it made her wants to stay there and then she starts switching between New York and Tokyo and keep doing creative works.Also she bring out zines every after each travel. ART BY ZEROX supported her from 2003 to 2009.
